For a four-star hotel, there are a few areas that could be improved, but because of the excellent service provided by the staff, I would still give Four Points by Sheraton Chengdu Chunxi Road a 5-star rating.
We checked in on 13 December and initially found that the room safe was not working. The front desk staff, Mr Joey Yang, handled the situation very professionally by arranging a room change and even offering us a complimentary upgrade. His quick decision and helpful attitude were much appreciated.
During our stay, we experienced a few issues, including food delivery coordination, a temporary phone malfunction, and a toilet problem that caused an unpleasant smell. Despite these inconveniences, the staff consistently responded with patience and responsibility. Mr John Tang later assisted us and suggested another room change immediately. He personally escorted us and arranged a panda doll and fruit as a goodwill gesture, which left a very positive impression.
On the bright side, the breakfast spread was good with a wide variety of options, especially the Assam milk tea and live noodle station. The laundry room was also modern and very easy to use, with detergent provided.
Overall, the customer service truly stood out and made a big difference. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of Mr Joey Yang and Mr John Tang. With some improvements to facilities, this hotel has great potential to be even better.
